Seanova has developed a process to fight against lipid oxidation by increasing their stability, through enrichment with natural antioxidants: the X.O® process.
This process preserves the nutritional and organoleptic qualities and shelf-life of oils (marine and vegetable).
Lipid oxidation is an irreversible chemical alteration caused by the presence of metals, oxygen, acidity, chlorophyll, water or light, acting on the double bonds of unsaturated fatty acids.
Oils rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids are therefore more prone to this oxidation phenomenon.
